The Planning & Zoning Board will conduct a public hearing for Ordinance 2020-02 Road Impact Fees at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday. A minor amendment is proposed to the Land Development Code pertaining to the use of impact fees, to clarify that road impact fees can be used for “multimodal” projects, which would include sidewalks, bikeways and similar pedestrian improvements, including stand-alone projects. Public Hearing Springhill Suites by Marriott The applicant presented their request for consumption on premises of alcoholic beverages outdoors in the amenity area, which includes the pool area. The hotel currently operates with a consumption on premises for the inside bar area.  They requested that patrons be able to take drinks from the inside bar to the pool area and by the outdoor fire pits. The Board will start their meeting at 5:30 p.m. with public hearings for Springhill Suites by Marriott, Mamma Anna Restaurant and a single-family residence at 9863 Bay Meadow in Shadow Wood in The Brooks. A public information meeting will then be conducted for the property located south of Corkscrew Road and west of Via Coconut Road. The Planning & Zoning Board voted to recommend Council approve, with conditions, the applicant’s request to rezone 8111 Broadway E. from agriculture to commercial in order to re-develop the old post office site and building for various commercial uses. Tony Sacco’s Coal Oven Pizza – public hearing Representatives of Tony Sacco’s were requesting to change their alcoholic beverage license to allow for the sale of liquor in addition to beer and wine. Tony Sacco’s Coal Oven Pizza, located at Coconut Point Mall.  (Presentation) The Board voted to approve changing the alcoholic beverage license from 2COP to 4COP SFS with conditions.  This allows the sale of liquor on the restaurant’s premises, both inside and the outdoor section of their restaurant. The Board will conduct a public hearing for Tony Sacco’s Coal Oven Pizza, located at Coconut Point Mall, which is requesting to change their alcoholic beverage license to allow for the sale of liquor in addition to beer and wine. The Planning & Zoning Board conducted a public hearing for amendments to the Comprehensive Plan pertaining to the 10-year water supply facilities work plan and wetlands at their meeting on June 28. Florida Statutes require that a regional water supply plan be conducted within 18 months following the South Florida Water Management District plan update. Johnson Engineering reviewed the water supply from Lee County Utilities and Bonita Springs Utilities and determined there will be an adequate supply for the Village of Estero for the next ten years (2030).  (Work Plan) There was also an amendment to modify and clarify wetland [...]
