Members of the Village Council attended the 89th Annual Conference of the Florida League of Cities held August 13-15, 2015, at the Orlando World Center Marriott Hotel in Orlando.
This year’s conference theme — Florida Cities: A Public Conversation — explored the importance of public input and public access within cities. The topic was intended to inspire attendees’ with new ways to interact with the public.
The Florida League of Cities annual conference is held each August in various locations throughout the state. Approximately 1,000 city officials from across Florida attend this meeting to share ideas, attend educational workshops and sessions, discuss strategies for Florida’s future, determine League policies, and visit the Municipal Marketplace.
Growing from a small number of cities and towns, the League’s membership now represents more than 400 cities, towns and villages in the Sunshine State.
