The Village of Estero has completed its comprehensive Vulnerability Assessment Project, evaluating the community’s resilience to natural hazards including flooding, extreme heat, high winds and wildfires to identify vulnerable areas..
An Adaptation Plan was also completed. The Adaptation Plan identifies priority assets and recommends strategies to mitigate risks. Recommendations are categorized as near-, medium- and long-term actions that can be pursued through capital planning, grant funding, partnerships and coordination with asset owners.
This project was funded through the Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Program.
