The Lee Clerk’s Office is hosting a free community event on Thursday, July 23, from 2–3 p.m. at the South County Regional Library in Estero.
Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from Lee Clerk & Comptroller Kevin Karnes and Property Appraiser Matt Caldwell as they present a comprehensive overview of the property assessment and dispute process. The seminar will cover:
- How property values are assessed
- How to contest property assessments with the Value Adjustment Board
- How to protect your property from fraud through the free Property Fraud Alert Service
A Q&A session will follow the presentations, giving attendees the chance to ask questions directly related to the property assessment dispute process.
