Music of Beethoven & more at 1st concert by Estero Concert Series
“From Beethoven to Vladigerov & More” will initiate the ninth season of unique chamber music concerts provided by the Estero Concert Series at 3 p.m., Sunday, January 5 at the Koreshan State Park’s historic Art Hall.
Featured artists are Daniela Shtereva on violin and Daniela Dikova on piano.
Tickets are available at $40 per person; this price includes entrance to the park. These concerts have been sold out in the past so reservations are recommended. Reservations may be made by calling (239) 596-8404 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Art Hall at the Koreshan State Park is located at 3800 Corkscrew Road. Seating is limited to 85 attendees.
South County Regional Library
The Library is featuring the Florida Repertory Theater event from 2 – 4 p.m., Tuesday, January 14. Meet Artistic Director Greg Longenhagen and company from the Florida Rep Theater as they tell about their upcoming show “Barefoot in the Park”, and participate in their free ticket give-away.
This romantic comedy follows Paul and Corie Bratter, newlyweds in every sense of the word. After a six-day honeymoon, they get a surprise visit from Corie’s loopy mother. The pair decide to play matchmaker during a dinner with their eccentric neighbor-in-the-attic – where everything that could go wrong, does.

Koreshan State Park
Go for a ghost walk in the park. Experience the unique history of this unusual community come to life as actors in period costumes portray the founding of the Koreshan Unity Settlement on the ground where it actually took place over 100 years ago. Enjoy an hour-long nighttime stroll along candlelit pathways, under the moonlight, as you walk to historic, restored Koreshan buildings, seeing and hearing the “Koreshans” tell their own stories, scene by scene. Enjoy a treat made from a Koreshan recipe and watch as the Fairbanks Morse diesel engine lights up the night. Shows begin at 6:45 p.m., 7:00 p.m., 7:15 p.m., 7:30 p.m., 7:45 p.m., 8:00 p.m., January 31.

Enjoy live music throughout the mall each weekend in January. The music starts at 1 p.m. through 7 p.m. and covers many genres including classic rock, Country folk, Motown and timeless hits.

The Estero Historical Society is presenting “Afternoon Tea Time at the Cottage” 1 – 3 p.m., Thursday, January 23. This special program includes Chinese face reading by Barbara Bell.

Lee Health at Coconut Point 3rd annual Health & Wellness Fair
Lee Health will be holding their 3rd annual Health & Wellness Fair from 9 a.m. – noon, Saturday, January 25 at the Estero Community Park.
This fair showcases local health providers and wellness conscious businesses in one place for you to ask questions and make connections. The event is free to the public.
