Each year, the Estero Historical Society celebrates the 4th of July by bringing segments of history connected with the signing of the Declaration of Independence “to life” for all to enjoy.

Approximately 80 residents gathered this year at the historic cottage in the Estero Community Park for the Society’s annual reading of the Declaration of Independence on a very “warm” July 4th.

Included among those participating in this year’s patriotic event were Village Councilmembers Nick Batos and Katy Errington, Estero Historical Society’s President Charles Dauray, Estero Chamber of Commerce’s Chairman of the Board Gene Montenieri, Fire Commissioner Dick Schweers and members of the Estero Fire Rescue.
