Public Hearing: The Reef II

The Board approved the monument sign as presented by Joe McHarris representing The Reef II, with a consideration for turning the extended columns by 45 degrees.  The sign will include the use of native cap rock and will have the same colors, lighting and logo as the existing sign for The Reef I.

The Reef II is a 60-unit multi-family student housing development currently under construction located on the northeast corner of the intersection of Estero Parkway and Three Oaks Parkway.

Land Development Code amendments

The Board discussed several topics including landscaping, signs and “green” parking lots.

Community Development Director Mary Gibbs asked for Board members and residents to submit sketches and photos that represent “Estero”, such as the Estero River, Koreshan State Historic Site and good development, for use in the upcoming Comprehensive Plan document.
