Waqypoint Residences Rendering

The applicant is requesting to redevelop the closed Muvico Theater and surrounding parking lot area to construct 362 multifamily apartments. The proposal includes two five-story residential buildings, one four-story building and a five-story parking garage. The four-story building will front Via Coconut Point.

The taller buildings will be 65 feet to the architectural details. The architecture will be Mediterranean, and they are proposing paint colors in shades of beige and taupe with an accent color of aquarium.

A shared-use parking lot would replace the theater.

Some of the changes to their original plan include adding a turn lane on Via Umbria Way to avoid stacking off of Via Coconut Point, adding a second entrance to the parking garage and reducing the overall impervious space and doubling the green space.

There were a number of suggestions from the PZDB for revisions to the plan.
