The applicant was requesting a rezoning of a 2-acre site located on the east side of US 41, approximately ¼ mile south of the intersection of US 41 and Broadway Ave E. The rezoning will allow construction of a 16,000 square foot Henning Group Design Center building at a maximum height of thirty-five feet featuring a Mediterranean-inspired design with contemporary elements.

The Board voted to recommend Council approve this application with a number of conditions.

Corkscrew Village expansion

This project is a two-story, 75,910 square feet mini-warehouse building which will be the final phase of the existing storage facilities at 8900 Commons Way, East of US 41, South of Corkscrew Road. The site currently includes 94,000 square feet of mini warehouses in five buildings.

The Board approved this application with staff conditions.

Public Information Meeting

TRG Estero is requesting to rezone the property on the southwest corner of Estero Parkway and Three Oaks Parkway to allow up to 370 multi-family units and 33,000 square feet of retail.

The proposed buildings will combine Mediterranean Revival and modern coastal at a total height of three stories. The apartments will include studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom units. They plan an enhanced landscape buffer, especially on the western side of their property.

Public Comment: Six eComment cards were placed into the record.  Five residents spoke of their concerns regarding traffic, infrastructure, water issues, and flooding.

No voting occurs during public information meetings.
