Hurricane season peaks from mid-August to mid-October The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is now calling for 14-21 named storms to develop this year, of which 6 to 11 could become hurricanes with 2 to 5 of those that could become major hurricanes. The Planning, Zoning & Design Board will start their meeting at 4:30 p.m., Tuesday evening, August 22. The full agenda will be available here soon. Estero High School Principal Mike Amabile is reaching out to the community to help fill a number of teaching vacancies which have occurred unexpectedly within the last few weeks. The positions which are currently open are: Music Director, Math, ESE, English, Social Science, Counselor, Intervention Specialist and Spanish. Anyone with a bachelor’s degree interested in applying for one of these positions may contact Amabile.
