Estero High School Principal Mike Amabile is reaching out to the community to help fill a number of teaching vacancies which have occurred unexpectedly within the last few weeks. The positions which are currently open are: Music Director, Math, ESE, English, Social Science, Counselor, Intervention Specialist and Spanish. Anyone with a bachelor’s degree interested in applying for one of these positions may contact Amabile. The meeting will start at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, with Council reviewing the agreement to transfer ownership of the T & T Water Management System to the Village.  T&T Umbrella Association, Inc., is an entity created to own and manage the stormwater storage facility located adjacent to the Hertz Arena.   Jacob Winge reading the Declaration Estero Historical Society President Gail Langner welcomed the crowd and started the celebration off with the Pledge of Allegiance.  Noted patriotic singer Gary Israel then led in the singing of “God Bless America.” Local historian Jacob Winge read the Declaration of Independence.  Winge was joined by two other historical enactors dressed in authentic 18th-century period costume. Residents will be able to dispose of household chemical waste safely and responsibly from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19.  Items will not be accepted either before or after that time period.
