As you know, hurricane season starts on June 1 and runs through November 30, 2023. While the season peaks in mid-August, everyone should review their hurricane preparation plans and take advantage of the disaster preparedness sales tax holiday which runs now through June 9. Summer Reading Program kick-off party on June 3
Start the summer with your library with a celebration with games, fun, food trucks, and a live DJ spinning all your favorite tunes. Estero’s Golf Coast Driving Range just got a facelift
Hurricane Ian’s damage to the Golf Coast Driving Range’s building has now been repaired thanks to Estero contractor RMS. Also, a new ball washer and dispenser has replaced the 25-year-old equipment, and youth golf equipment will be arriving just in time for summer. Corkscrew Road Widening Update from Lee County May 16, 2023
During the daytime hours on Thursday, May 18 and Friday May 19, the contractor will be paving in the project. Motorists should expect trucks moving in and out of the area behind the barrels and may have intermittent flagging to assist with traffic. The contractor continues work outside of the travel lanes. This work includes installing drainage, performing concrete work and earthwork, clearing & grubbing, and prepping for sod. Lee County Utilities ends free chlorine flush
Lee County Utilities on Sunday, May 21, will end the free chlorine flush, which will involve converting its disinfection process from a free chlorine residual back to chloramines as the primary disinfectant. Corkscrew Road wetland mitigation credits among topics for Council on May 17, 2023
Council will start their meeting at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, addressing Corkscrew Road wetland mitigation credits and conducting a second reading of an ordinance updating the Capital Improvements element. Utility improvements and supplemental staffing among topics for Council on May 3, 2023
The meeting will start at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, addressing a contract with Banks Engineering to design utility improvements at See See Street off Corkscrew Road.
