Tropical Storm – Hurricane Helene update – sand & sandbags available
The Village of Estero and Estero Fire Rescue are providing free sand and sandbags for Estero residents. The sand is located at 20921 County Road, on the corner of US 41 and County Road across from the Fire Station. Residents will need to bring their own shovel. This is a self-serve operation, and no personnel will be on site to help.
Village of Estero recommends residents stay alert to forecasted tropical storm
The Village of Estero is monitoring the tropics and working closely with county, state and federal partners, including the Florida Division of Emergency Management, the National Weather Service, and the National Hurricane Center. With heightened tropical activity, it is important for residents to take steps to prepare as we move through the remainder of this hurricane season. Final budget hearings and Via Coconut on the agenda for Council at 5:05 p.m., September 18, 2024

South County Regional Library in Estero The Lee Board of County Commissioners voted on September 3 to approve an $11 million construction contract with Chris-Tel Construction to renovate the South County Regional Library at 21100 Three Oaks Parkway. Ribbon cutting ceremony for new state of the art turf field at Estero High School
Community leaders gathered for a ribbon cutting ceremony, for the newly installed state of the art turf field at Jeff Sommer Stadium on August 23, 2024. Dedicated Estero community volunteer Leonard “Scotty” Wood III has passed
Leonard “Scotty” Wood III, resident of the West Bay Club, passed away on August 12, 2024. Scotty had a long record of contributing his time and expertise to the Estero community. In April of this year, he was recognized for volunteering hundreds of hours serving as Chairman of the Village of Estero’s Planning, Zoning & Design Board over the past 9 years.
