Children’s activities included a Marvel Superman Bounce House and being treated to balloon sculptures created by Way Too Tall Torrie. Don Eslick honored at Lee Health at Coconut Point’s 5th Anniversary event
Suzie Eslick touching the plaque which honors her late husband Don Eslick Many Estero residents turned out to help celebrate Lee Health at Coconut Point’s 5th anniversary on November 30. As part of their formal program, they honored Don Eslick, calling him a civic provocateur and unveiled a plaque on the wall “Dedicated in memory of ‘Mr. Estero’ whose passionate advocacy for healthcare contributed to the development of Lee Health Coconut Point.” Don was the founding Chairman of the Estero Council of Community Leaders (ECCL) in 2002, a “grass roots” community organization which addressed quality of life issues. Don’t miss the annual Light up Estero event scheduled for 4 – 7 p.m., Saturday, December 2, at the Estero Community Park. Bring the family to Estero Park to see “The Santa Clause” from 4-7 p.m., Saturday, December 9

Volunteers help keep Estero’s roads beautiful
Tom and Gladys Bogner Estero residents, FGCU organizations, and local companies are all contributing to keeping our roadways free of litter and looking attractive. This is the third year in a row that volunteers from Cascades, Genova, Mirasol, Lighthouse Bay, and Pelican Sound are working on Estero roadways through the Village of Estero’s Adopt-A-Road Program supported by Keep Lee County Beautiful. These roads include Estero Parkway, Williams Road, and Via Coconut Point. Over the summer through November, thirty volunteers provided 89 hours of service, collecting 865 pounds of litter.
