Residents are invited to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new, professional-level turf field at Jeff Sommer Stadium at 5 p.m. Friday, August 23. The celebration will feature music, food trucks and remarks from Village and school officials. Then at 7:30 p.m., watch the Estero Wildcats compete against the Riverdale Raiders in their first game of the season. Over the summer, the Village of Estero had Hellas Construction, Inc., install artificial turf at the football field.
