Council conducted workshops on High 5’s unsolicited proposal and Broadway West utilities expansion project on January 18, 2023
Public Comment: A resident expressed his concerns regarding a commercial building being built in his neighborhood. Council started their meeting with a workshop regarding an unsolicited proposal from High 5, a Texas restaurant and entertainment enterprise expressing interest in some portion of the 20-acre property on the north side of Williams Road, south and west of the Estero Community Park and Estero High School. This proposal is presented as a public-private partnership to provide the Village with an opportunity to generate income as well as create an amenity for the community. Council will start their meeting at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, conducting workshops on a High 5 proposal and Broadway West utilities expansion project. The full agenda is available here. Public comment on non-agenda items: Tauheedah Mateen /SBA Public Affairs Specialist spoke assuring the community FEMA and the Small Business Administration are still here and continuing relief and recovery efforts in the area. They are working out of the Disaster Recovery Center located in the Village Hall. A resident of Bella Terra stated her concerns about traffic safety issues along East Corkscrew Road caused by residents and dump trucks driving too fast and causing accidents.
