Ordinance 2023-06 – Coconut Road EDP rezoning (Woodfield Development) Representatives of the Woodfield Development project team presented their rezoning request for this project which includes 596 dwelling units, 538 being luxury apartments and the remainder being townhomes, 80,000 square feet of commercial retail and dining, 42,000 square feet of office space, and 260 hotel rooms. Estero Historical Society’s traditional Independence Day celebration on July 1, 2023
Jacob Winge reading the Declaration Estero Historical Society President Gail Langner welcomed the crowd and started the celebration off with the Pledge of Allegiance. Noted patriotic singer Gary Israel then led in the singing of “God Bless America.” Local historian Jacob Winge read the Declaration of Independence. Winge was joined by two other historical enactors dressed in authentic 18th-century period costume. Estero Fire Rescue was there to raise a large American flag to add to the patriotism. Household chemical waste collection scheduled at Estero Park on July 19, 2023
Residents will be able to dispose of household chemical waste safely and responsibly from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19. Items will not be accepted either before or after that time period. Chemical waste categories include items that are ignitable, corrosive, explosive and/or reactive and toxic. Golf Coast Driving Range to close temporarily for two weeks on June 25
The driving range will be closed from Sunday, June 25 through Sunday, July 9 in order to do necessary maintenance and provide time off for the staff and volunteers Normal daily hours of operation will resume on Monday, July 10. The Estero Forever Foundation staff and volunteers have operated the Village of Estero's Golf Coast Driving Range as a community service project since August 15, 2022.
