Nice turn out for the ribbon-cutting ceremony including: Vice-Mayor Joanne Ribble, Councilmember Jim Ward, Engage Estero President Jim Gilmartin, EHS Board President Gail Langner, former Mayor Bill Ribble, EHS Vice President Roslyn Gula, Estero Forever Foundation President John Quinn and Councilmember George Zalucki. Public Hearing Downtown Estero infrastructure Development Order The Board reviewed the development order for this project located on the east side of US 41 north of Broadway and east of the Broadway Shoppes. This development order is only for the infrastructure of the site including roads, parking, stormwater collection/detention, landscaping, and utilities. The overall Downtown Estero project consists of 310 multiple-family units, and approximately 30,000 square feet of commercial uses. Household chemical waste collection scheduled at Estero Park on April 19, 2023
Residents will be able to dispose of household chemical waste safely and responsibly from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19. Items will not be accepted either before or after that time period. Chemical waste categories include items that are ignitable, corrosive, explosive and/or reactive and toxic. Never dispose of these items in dumpsters, compactors or at curbside with household garbage or down a storm drain or in the soil. Estero Forever Foundation helping support the arts in Estero

The Koreshan Music Salon, formerly known as the Estero Concert Series, has been bringing many talented musicians to the historic Koreshan Art Hall since 2012. All performers are accomplished classical musicians, many of whom are with the Naples Philharmonic and other esteemed musical groups around the country. Corkscrew Road Widening Update from Lee County April 7, 2023
FOR EVERYONE’S SAFETY, PLEASE STAY OUT OF THE ACTIVE WORK ZONE Beginning on Monday, April 10 through Friday, April 14, crews will be working close to the roadway from Stoneybrook Golf Drive to Wildcat Run, and in the turn lane into Wildcat Run. Public meetings to be held on River Ranch Road Improvements Project and Village Center Hub Project on April 6, 2023
The Village will be conducting two separate public meetings on April 6. The first will address the River Ranch Road Improvements Project and will be held from 4:30 – 6 p.m. at Room 103A of the Estero Community Recreation Center, 9200 Corkscrew Palms Blvd. Residents will have an opportunity to review plans, make comments, and speak with members of the project team. “Outlaws, Highway Men & Villains of Florida” will be presented at the Estero Historical Society on April 22
Local historian Jacob Winge will discuss how Florida has been a refuge for outcasts and scoundrels for centuries. There’s William Bowles, who, as a teenager, was recognized by King George III in 1781 as Chief of the Embassy for Creek and Cherokee nations, and who (with British backing) would raid Spanish ships and found the State of Muskogee. There are also modern villains like Charles Ponzi and the Tamiami Trail Strangler. Winge, a fifth-generation Floridian who has been presenting living history reenactments and other types of historical programs since his teens, is one of the Estero Historical Society’s popular presenters.
