 Florida Department of Health Issues Daily Update on COVID-19  TALLAHASSEE — The Florida Department of Health (DOH), in order to provide more comprehensive data, releases a report each day on COVID-19. Hospitalizations: Today, data reported to the Agency for Health Care Administration shows that the number of COVID-19 positive patients that are currently hospitalized is down more than 70 percent since July. Lee County has suspended residential garbage, yard waste and recycling collection on Monday, November 9, because of winds anticipated from Tropical Storm Eta. Regular household collections will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week. Monday’s collections will be picked up Tuesday, Tuesday’s collections will be picked up Wednesday and so on through Saturday. (Collections will occur on Veterans Day.) The county asks residents to remove anything outside their homes that could blow away during the storm, including garbage cans, lids and recycle carts. Store them inside.
