Village of Estero volunteers will be handing out free personal protection equipment (PPE) from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m., Saturday, October 24, 2020 at the following locations: Goodwill Industries, 10351 Corkscrew Commons Drive (map) Estero United Methodist Church, 8088 Lord’s Way, corner of US41 & Broadway (map) The PPE handout includes N95 masks (made in the USA) and branded Estero reusable masks, hand sanitizer bottles and grocery bags. These PPE are being provided through the CARES Act and are meant to encourage mask and hand sanitizer use during the continuing COVID pandemic.

Public Comment on non-agenda items: An eComment card from the Communications & Publicity Chair of the Estero Historical Society (EHS) was read into the record stating that all the EHS facilities have been decontaminated and treated with a long-term solution so that they are safe for everyone to visit. The State of Florida is now in Phase 3 of its reopening plan. This phase lifts the capacity limits on businesses previously put in place.
