Coconut Point Ford Pre-owned Vehicles monument sign
The applicant presented their proposal to install one double-faced ground sign, a 3–4 foot retaining wall and modify landscape and grading at the southwest corner of US 41 and Galloway Ford Drive.
The sign will be set 17 feet off the roadway, include internal LED lighting for the lettering and the paint color of the sign will mimic the existing dealership signage. The pre-owned vehicle building is located south of the Coconut Point Ford dealership. (Presentation)

Public Information Meetings
The applicant is proposing to move into an existing but vacant bank building located on the northeast corner of Coconut Road and Via Villagio in the Coconut Point Mall. They are requesting approval to remove the existing drive-thru canopy, conversion of the teller window and adjustments to landscape to make the building look less like a bank. There will be no other alterations to the exterior of the building; they are currently renovating the interior of the building. The parking area will remain the same but will be repainted. The Colonnade, Continuing Care Retirement Community, aka Volunteers of America, will be requesting a development order for the first phase of their development with 159 Independent Living and 128 Assisted Living Units and a 7,500 square foot medical office building.
The applicant pointed out that the temporary fence has been installed and they will be meeting with the neighboring community again in the near future.
The first phase will be the assisted living units, then independent living units. The Old Florida style building will include a two-story formal entry. The facility will include bocce ball courts, shaded pedestrian areas, a pool, fountain, dog park and covered parking. The final phase will be the 7,500 square foot medical building with common walkway to the building. The landscaping will include 20 foot tall trees between this facility and the adjoining property. The Colonnade is located at the northeast corner of Corkscrew Road and Sandy Lane.
Representatives for Texas Roadhouse were requesting the Board review the revised architecture based on the comments received at the July 11 meeting.
They have lowered the pitch of the roof, lowered the tower roof height, muted the color of the building to a lighter color yellow, and changed the roof tile to match those of the Starbucks building
They are seeking a development order for a 7,256 square foot freestanding restaurant within the Shoppes at Estero Grande located west of US 41 at the intersection of US 41 and Estero Parkway, adjacent to the Starbucks which is under construction. (Presentation)
