Coconut Point – Signage refresh

Coconut Point Developers, LLC, are planning to repair and repaint all of their signage within the mall.  The proposed colors include pavilion beige, moderate white, moderate black, urbane bronze, and Simon white.  These colors are consistent with the proposed updated paint colors for the buildings within the mall.

No voting occurs during public information meetings.

Walmart repaint color palette

The applicant is planning to repaint their building located at 19975 South Tamiami Trail.  The earth tone paint colors include spiced cider, sticks and stones, croissant, west highland white with pure white trim.

Board members recommended that the overall proposed building paint palette be lightened and voted to continue this application to the March 10 meeting.

Recognition of Nancy Stroud, Esq.

The Board recognized newly retired Nancy Stroud, Esq., for her 10-plus years of service as legal counsel to the Village, including the Zoning Board, Design Review Board, and the Planning, Zoning & Design Board.  Stroud assisted with over 800 case reviews and resolutions.

Stroud ensured that the Village’s vision for a planned, walkable and balanced community was legally sound and defensible as it established its new government.

Community Development Director Mary Gibbs, each Board member, and Estero’s first Mayor, Nick Batos expressed appreciation for Stroud’s contributions to the community through her legal expertise.

Stroud was also recognized by Council on February 4 with a resolution honoring her for her years of service as the Village’s first land use attorney.

Annual project update

Community Development Director Mary Gibbs gave a comprehensive review of nearly complete projects, projects under construction, stalled projects and signage.
