Community Rating System
The Community Rating System (CRS) is a voluntary incentive program under the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). The program encourages communities to implement and maintain comprehensive floodplain management activities that go beyond the minimum NFIP requirements.
By participating in the CRS, communities can earn discounts on flood insurance premiums for residents, based on the community’s level of floodplain management efforts.
