District 4 Council member Katy Errington served as a judge for the most original and creative Halloween costume contest entered by the 30 plus children in attendance.

As a Councilor representing the Village of Estero, Errington was approached by a park employee and asked who could be called to remove the bottle from the animal’s head.  Errington called the Conservancy of Southwest Florida’s Von Arx Wildlife Hospital and put a staff person in touch with the person who reported the incident in order to resolve the problem.

The Village Councilors get a variety of calls asking for assistance in various matters and this is just another example of how diverse these calls can be, even while attending a fun-filled afternoon at the local Koreshan State Park.
