Resolution No. 2018-18 – Estero River Land Purchase
Council adopted this resolution with changes made to the purchase and sale agreement.
The resolution authorizes the amended purchase and sale agreement with The Trust for Public Lands for 62 acres of land adjacent to the Estero River.
This acquisition will require the Village to obtain financing and Staff is currently in the process of developing a Request for Proposals which will be issued to be consistent with the timing of the closing within 120 days from execution of the purchase and sale agreement.
$26,000,000 has been budgeted in 2018-2019, to include the $24,562,500 purchase price and an additional $1,437,500 in closing, debt issuance and design/development alternatives costs. (Summary Sheet and attachments)
Zoning Ordinance No. 2018-24 – Approving with conditions a zoning amendment with deviations to permit the proposed 135-room Miromar Outlet Hotel
Council approved this ordinance with deviations with a number of conditions, including safe pedestrian access to the arena on days of events, consumption on premises should be from 7 a.m. to 12 midnight, hotel signage to be added to the pylons at the Miromar entrance and allowing the hotel height to be at 75 feet.
