Council will start the meeting with a resolution determining the proposed millage rate for fiscal year 2019-2020. The proposed millage rate is 0.7750 mills, which is equal to the prior year’s rate.
The two public hearings for the millage rate will be held on September 4, 2019 at 5:30 p.m. and September 18, 2019 at 5:30 p.m.
A second resolution addresses the Estero on the River property which has submerged land leased from the State of Florida’s Department of Environmental Protection. The change in ownership of the property to the Village requires a modification to the Sovereignty Submerged Lands Lease.
Council will then be asked to approve a contract with Coastal Engineering Consultants, Inc. to perform a sedimentation analysis of the Estero River for $94,180.
A public hearing will be conducted adopting the Capital Improvement Program for fiscal year 2019- 2020, followed by a public hearing and first reading of ordinances pertaining to Comprehensive Plan amendments regarding the Water Supply Facilities Work Plan and wetlands.
The meeting will conclude with the first reading of an ordinance pertaining to Corkscrew Crossing.
