The meeting will start at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 13, with a workshop to conduct interviews with the 13 applicants for the Planning, Zoning & Design Board.
Four members of the Board have terms that expire on April 30, 2024. In addition, there are two vacancies on the Board.
The Land Development Code provides for a range of 7-9 members on the Board. Staff has advertised for Board members as well as verifying existing members’ interest in serving on the Board. There are 13 applications: 9 new and 4 from existing members whose terms expire in April. There are 3 existing members whose terms do not expire until 2026, leaving 4-6 positions to be filled.
Council will select and appoint the Board members on April 3.

Meetings are held in the Council Chambers, Village Hall, 9401 Corkscrew Palms Circle, near the entrance to the Estero Park.
Residents may view the meeting here and provide public comment by utilizing the eComment Card on the Village website. Comments must be received by noon one day before the actual meeting and they will be distributed to the Council but will not be read at the meeting.
