December 2 – Yard sale to benefit United Way
Lee County Parks & Recreation will hold a yard sale to benefit United Way from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, at the Estero Community Park, 9200 Corkscrew Palms Blvd. The event and parking is free. Pets are not permitted in the park, only in the Dog Park.
December 2 – “Light up Estero”
The 4th annual “Light up Estero” Christmas program will be held at the Estero Community Park from 4 – 7 p.m., Saturday. Music will be provided by the Estero High School Jazz Band and the New Horizons of Southwest Florida Children’s Choir. Naples Smoked BBQ will be on hand to sell their famous barbecue while children will enjoy playing in bounce houses. To complete the evening, Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive by the Estero Fire Rescue fire truck. The event is free. Residents are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets to sit on to enjoy the festivities.
December 3 – 1st annual Koreshan old fashioned holiday bazaar
Enjoy shopping for unique gifts and crafts in the decorated Koreshan settlement from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., Sunday. Get your family’s and pets picture with Santa. Take a free ride in Santa’s carriage. There will be local handmade gifts, holiday music and food. Eat and be merry!
December 10 – Estero Concert Series – chamber music concert
The Piano Trio by Russian composer Anton Arensky and String Quartet No. 8 by Czech composter Antonin Dvorak will be featured at the Estero Concert Series at 4 p.m., Sunday at the Koreshan Art Hall. Performing artists include Bella Gutshtein on piano, Boris Sandler and Ruth Leone on violins, Eric Dochinger on cello and Suzannah Chalick on viola. December 13 – Healthy Life Center

December 15 – Clydesdales for Christmas event
Dream of “Dashing thru the snow in a one horse open sleigh” at Chick-fil-A. Their Clydesdale Christmas event gives you the opportunity to take pictures with a beautiful Clydesdale horse and carriage. Get into the holiday spirit with snow flurries falling from the sky and children writing letters to Santa from 5 – 8 p.m. at 21900 Tamiami Trial.
December 16 – S. County Regional Library free acoustic concert
This is the first of the Americana Community Music Association (ACMA) & Friends of S. County Regional Library’s free acoustic concert series. The ACMA is a Ft. Myers-based organization that promotes local artists who write and sing their own original songs. Glenn Sabatka, Pete Benson and Doug Chaiet will be performing this first concert from 2 – 3:30 p.m., Saturday.
December 18 – “An Evening under the Shadow Wood”
The second annual fundraiser for the Estero High School Culinary Program will be held on Monday at 6 p.m. at the Shadow Wood Country Club in The Brooks. Chef Educator Jeremy Jasper and his students will offer a special treat, conducting a full, one-hour competition team demonstration where they will create their signature three-course meal in front of their guests.
