Public Hearing – Longitude Apartments 81

Longitude 81A representative for Longitude 81 Apartments was requesting to change the exterior building color from the approved yellow tones to a color scheme of predominately grey.

These apartments are located at 11221 Everblades Parkway, west of Ben Hill Griffin Parkway and north of the Miromar Outlets Mall.

During the August 26 Design Review Board public information meeting, the Board had suggested that the darker color would look better on the lower portion of the building but the dark color grey still didn’t go well with the roof tiles.

The applicant brought samples of a toned down dark grey.

The Board explained that the Village’s requirements call for warm Earth tones or pastels, not cool colors.

Public Comment: A member of the audience, who is a designer, explained there are two types of grey.  The applicant’s proposed grey is a cool grey vs a warm grey.  There was also 1 eComment card read into the record.

The applicant requested a continuation of this hearing to address a change in their proposed colors.
