Representatives for AutoZone presented their plans for a 7,381 square foot store at 10250 Arcos Avenue, adjacent to Culver’s on the southeast corner of the intersection of Puerto Way and Corkscrew Road.

The architecture includes stucco walls, Earth tone colors, varying roof heights, metal trellises and covered entry. The open green space has been planted with trees to provide shade.  The applicant stated the enlarged public seating area complies or exceeds the Village’s recommendations.

They are planning a pedestrian connection to the adjacent Culver’s as well as Arcos Avenue, a public area with a bench close to Corkscrew Road and native plantings along the existing buffer. The monument sign will be internal to the project. (Presentation)

The board approved this application with the condition that the owner make their required contribution to the traffic signal at Puerto Way and Corkscrew Road.  The Village has funded the design of the traffic signal.  With AutoZone joining others contributing their share, the light could be completed within one year.
