The applicant is developing 6 pickle ball courts, 1 bocce ball court, a restroom facility, a dog park to accommodate large and small dogs, infrastructure and a parking area at the west side of the entrance to the community. The parking area will be grass.
The applicant stated with the use of sound-deadening paddles and balls to be used at the pickle ball courts the projected sound will be between 40 – 50 decibels, which is below the 66 decibels allowed during the hours of 7 a.m. – 10 p.m. in the Lee County noise ordinance. This pickle ball court will only operate during daylight hours as there are no lights.
The Board approved this application with a number of conditions.
