Vice Mayor Joanne Ribble – District 1
Liaison: Florida League of Cities
Areas of Strategic Concern: Estero River, Estero on the River, the Village Center Property at Corkscrew and Tamiami Trail, Septic to Sewer and Coconut Road and US 41 development.
Currently, she is a member of the Board of Directors of the Florida League of Cities and is the Vice President of the Southwest Florida League Chapter.
Ribble has been a resident of The Colony in Pelican Landing since 2007. She has served as co-chair of the Pelican Landing Unit Owners Committee, served on the Pelican Landing Board of Directors, and was appointed President. In the Colony she served on the Colony Design Review and Standards Committee, Colony Resident Committee and is currently a member of the Colony Foundation Board of Directors.
Her philanthropic experience includes: Ambassador of the Kutztown University Capital Campaign, co-chair of the Children’s Hospital Golf Outing at The Colony in Pelican Landing and member of the Estero Forever Foundation.
She is a graduate of Kutztown University with a BS degree in Spanish. She retired from a 30-year career as an educator. She and husband Bill have two daughters and three granddaughters.
