Councilmember Jeff Hunt – District 2
Jeff Hunt was elected (unopposed) on March 4, 2025, and he will serve a four-year term ending March 2029. District 2, represents Breckenridge, Covered Wagon, Cranbrook Harbor, Cypress Bend RV resort, Estero Bay Village, Estero Parc, Mariners Cove, Meadows of Estero (North Pointe), Osprey Cove, Pelican Sound, Riverwoods Plantation, Sunny Grove, and Terra Vista.
Hunt has been a resident of Estero since 2018, owned a home in Southwest Florida since 2008, and resides full-time in Pelican Sound Golf & River Club. Jeff’s former hometown is Cortland Manor, New York and he has lived in Missouri, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania. Jeff graduated from the New York State University College at Brockport, New York with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with specialization in Limnology and Ichthyology.
Hunt is a retired senior executive in the medical device and pharmaceutical packaging industries with 30 years of global leadership experience and expertise.
Hunt is actively involved as a member of the Pelican Sound Watercraft and River committee. He is also a board member and a ranger for the Calusa Waterkeeper organization. Jeff enjoys kayaking, hiking, cars and travel. Jeff and his wife Renee have two children and love spending time with them and their growing families.
Hunt’s areas of interest include: Environmental preservation and sustainability, particularly the Estero River and Estero Bay, Public safety and community resilience, Economic development and smart growth and Infrastructure and traffic management.
