Estero Country Club at The Vines
The Board approved, with staff’s conditions, the applicant’s request for a deviation from the Land Development Code to allow riprap and wooden bulkheads to harden the shoreline of four different lake edges.
In addition, the Board approved a development order for the renovation of the golf course, construction of putting greens and modification to the golf cart parking. (Presentation)
Estero Country Club at The Vines is located 19501 Vintage Trace Circle, north of Estero Parkway and east of US 41.
Shoppes at Estero Grande
The Board approved a development order for the applicant to proceed with construction of 8,689 square feet of commercial multi- tenant development, including a Starbucks with a drive thru. The Board suggested vertical plantings in some of the planting areas.
The developer will have raised crosswalks with pavers, some covered walkways and a number of bike racks. (Presentation)
Estero Grande is located west of US 41 at the intersection of US 41 and Estero Parkway.
Lee Health at Coconut Point
The Board approved the signage for Lee Health at Coconut Point which mimics the architectural features used in the building. (Presentation)
Lee Health at Coconut Point is located at 23410/450 Via Coconut Point, east of US 41, and southwest of the intersection of Coconut Road and Via Coconut Point.
Public Information Meeting
Coconut Point Tract 1-A/Edera
The applicant presented plans for their proposed multi-family development consisting of 180 apartment units consisting of studio, 1, 2 and 3 bedrooms with elevators and 398 parking spaces, 151 of which will be under the buildings. The apartments will require a minimum of one-year leases.
Among the amenities will be a walking path around the lake on the property with a pocket park, an on-site bike sharing program and on-site trolley servicing the Coconut Point area. In addition, the developer will install and maintain offsite landscaping in the Williams Road/Via Coconut Point roundabout and medians as well as a transit/school bus stop shelter. (Presentation)
Edera is located on the southeast corner of Via Coconut and Williams Road.

Workshop
The Colonnade of Estero
The applicant was requesting suggestions for the architecture for their proposed facility.
The Colonnade will be a three-story continuing care retirement community consisting of 151 independent living apartments, 60 assisted living apartments, 64 skilled nursing suites and 32 memory support suites with some covered parking.
The 21-plus acre site also includes two, one-story medical offices/retail buildings, each proposed to be 7,500 square feet. The Volunteers of America project is located at 9301 Corkscrew Road, on the northeast corner of Corkscrew Road and Sandy Lane. (Presentation)
The Board made a number of comments including: consider the proportion of the shutters to the windows; horizontal roof needs to be broken up; fence needs to be an element related to the building; landscape should include tall palms, and consider a better location for the pool.
Public Comment: An adjacent neighbor spoke regarding the exterior wall.
