The Design Review Board conducted a public hearing for Edera, located on the southeast corner of Via Coconut and Williams Road, at their meeting on November 14.
Edera is a multi-family development of 180 apartment units in four buildings consisting of studio, 1, 2 and 3 bedrooms with elevators and 398 parking spaces, 151 of which will be under the buildings. The apartments are designed to serve as workforce housing for teachers and public servants. They will require a minimum of one-year leases and are proposed to range in price between $1200 – $1400 per month.
Among the amenities will be a 4-foot wide walking path around the lake on the property with a pocket park, an on-site bike sharing program and on-site trolley servicing the Coconut Point area. There also will be fountains at the entrance visible from the road and clubhouse with a pool.
In addition, the developer will install and maintain offsite landscaping in the Williams Road/Via Coconut Point roundabout and medians as well as a transit/school bus stop shelter. (Presentation)
The Board voted to approve this application with several stipulations.
