Lee County Schools
- It is with great disappointment that we announce the cancellation of our in-person graduations. The decision was made with the Florida Department of Health-Lee County and Hertz Arena. This was an incredibly hard decision but following the sharp rise in COVID-19 cases in our community and the health risk associated with large events, we believe this is in the best interest of our graduates and families. We are working on developing a drive-thru ceremony at each high school where the Class of 2020 can wear their cap and gown pick up their diplomas. More details will be forthcoming.
- As the District works to finalize what Reopening Schools will look like, we want to make sure that our families know that Lee Virtual School is an option for those uncomfortable with sending their child back to school. While there initially was a deadline of June 30th, that has since been extended to August 3rd. By signing up for Lee Virtual, you must commit to one semester of instruction. However, you will not lose the spot at your child’s school. Lee Virtual School is a public school serving grades K-12 for any student seeking a quality education through a flexible format. You can visit the website for more information: https://lvip.leeschools.net/ where you will find a recording of the Information Night that may help answer your questions. If you’re ready to enroll, please apply using the application form.
