The Estero Recreation Center has added several new classes for youth and adults, including:

Youth Improv: Participants will learn the art of improv. 6-8 p.m. on Thursdays. The cost is $75 per month, per participant. This class is for youth ages eight to 18. For more information please contact the instructor, Steve Cobb at 239-494-7633.

Tang Soo Do: A South Korean martial art that participants learn self-defense, discipline, confidence and respect. 4-6 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday. Participants are divided into class times by age. Classes are for ages three to adult. The cost starts at $69 per month per participant; discounts are available for additional family members. The Confident Creator Abstract Workshop: Participants will learn about personal style of artistry in a fun way. The cost for the workshop is $35 per participant. The workshop is for ages six to adult. Children six to 10 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. The workshops are being held from 5 to7 p.m. once a month. The dates are Nov. 29, Dec. 13, Jan. 17, Feb. 14, March 14, April 18 and May 16. Additional workshops will be hosted at other Lee County Parks & Recreation facilities throughout the coming months. All program participants must have a lifetime facility membership with Lee County Parks & Recreation to participate. Individual memberships are $10 per person and Family memberships are $25 for two adults and any children under the age of 18 in the household. Participants can purchase the facility membership in person at the Estero Recreation Center.
