Estero River

The meeting will start at 9:30 a.m. with an update on Florida Gulf Coast University’s  Water Institute presented by Dr. Michael Martin and Greg Tolley, and a presentation of the preliminary water quality findings for the Estero River presented by Don Duke, Ph.D., P.E.

Among the action items to be considered are the demolition of vacant structures on the Estero on the River property; purchase of 9.2± acres on Williams Road and the sale of 2.7 acres of surplus property on County Road; naming Steve Sarkozy as Acting Village Clerk; appointment of one or both Design Review Board applicants to an interim term expiring March 31, 2021; a Happehatchee operating agreement, and requesting Lee County disaster response services.

Workshop items include a report on septic to sewer, the Capital Improvement Program (CIP), branding and the bike & pedestrian master plan.
