The Village of Estero is working with a variety of community organizations to provide a free, patriotic and entertaining Veterans Day event for residents from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., Saturday, November 11, at the Estero Community Park.
The program will feature a patriotic concert, free hot dogs, an American classic & muscle car show and a Kids Zone. Dr. Debi Lux, founder of the Collier-Lee Honor Flight, will give the keynote address followed by recognition of Goldstar Families and local veterans, ending with a 21 Gun Salute, playing of Taps, and an American pop music concert by Lindsey Graham.
This party is geared to bringing the entire community together in a fun atmosphere…all while honoring our veterans. Plan on bringing your family, friends, and neighbors, along with your lawn chairs or blankets.
This special community event is being presented at the Estero Community Park located at 9200 Corkscrew Palms Blvd.
Volunteers from the Greater Estero Chamber of Commerce, Estero Church Groups, Estero Forever Foundation, Estero Historical Society, Estero Fire & Rescue, Estero High School JROTC, Estero Life Magazine, Estero Rotary, Engage Estero, Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Lee County Parks & Recreation, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America, Tidewater Veterans Group and the Village are all working together to bring the community together to honor those who are serving and have served our country.
