The Village of Estero is hosting a special free, patriotic and entertaining Veterans Day event from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., Saturday, November 9, at the Estero Community Park.
The program will highlight mini musicals, featuring songs associated with World War II, the Korean, Vietnam and Gulf War, presented by Spotlight Entertainment of Southwest Florida.
Everyone will enjoy free hot dogs, an American classic & muscle car show, patriotic songs by the New Horizons Choir, face painting and a visit with Too Tall Tori.
Congressman Bryon Donalds will introduce Lieutenant General Gary Speer, who will give the keynote address, followed by recognition of Goldstar Families and local veterans, ending with a 21-gun salute and the playing of taps
This party is geared to bringing the entire community together in a fun atmosphere…all while honoring our veterans. Residents are encouraged to bring family, friends, and neighbors, along with lawn chairs or blankets.
This special community event is being presented at the Estero Community Park located at 9200 Corkscrew Palms Blvd.
Volunteers from the Greater Estero Chamber of Commerce, Estero Church Groups, Estero Forever Foundation, Estero Historical Society, Estero Fire & Rescue, Estero High School JROTC, Estero Life Magazine, Estero Rotary, Engage Estero, Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Lee County Parks & Recreation, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America, Spotlight Entertainment of Southwest Florida, Tidewater Veterans Group and the Village are all working together to bring the community together to honor those who are serving and have served our country.
