Gulfshore Opera Divas performed a beautiful, lively musical program featuring music by such composers as Mozart and Handel to Paul Simon and Carole King to benefit Southwest Florida’s largest Thanksgiving outreach mission Feeding the 5000*.

The GO Divas received a standing ovation by concertgoers at their first concert at the Estero Lamb of God Church.  The Gulfshore Opera plans a second concert at this church in March when they will be performing songs of Ireland.

*Feeding the 5000: Thanksgiving Outreach is a local community of volunteers and business partners coming together in the battle against hunger in Southwest Florida.

Over the past ten years, they have provided over 82,000 Thanksgiving meals to needy families across a five-county area—from Port Charlotte to Immokalee. Hundreds of community volunteers join together during the week of Thanksgiving to prepare and package fresh, hot meals. On Thanksgiving morning, volunteer drivers deliver those meals to families and ensure that everyone has plenty to be thankful for. Due to Hurricane Ian this year, they plan to add groceries to the delivery of the meals.
