As you know, hurricane season starts this Saturday and runs through November 30. NOAA and other storm forecasters are predicting an above average hurricane season this year, so everybody should start preparing now.
While the season peaks in mid-August to mid-October, everyone should review their hurricane preparation plans and take advantage of the disaster preparedness sales tax holiday which runs Saturday, June 1 through Friday, June 14. A second opportunity begins August 24 through September 6. Here is a list of items that are exempt from tax during the sales tax holiday.
