Join local invasive species management professionals from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., Saturday, February 24, at River Oaks Preserve, to learn how to recognize and remove invasive plant material common to our area.

Volunteers will be working in the beautiful scrubby flatwoods east of the north branch of the Estero River.

You should bring work gloves, closed-toe shoes, pants, long-sleeved shirt as well as water, lunch/snacks, bug spray, sunscreen and your favorite weeding tool. You will go home with a free 4-inch native plant courtesy of the local Native Plant Society chapters.

The River Oaks Preserve is located 9541 Broadway Avenue E.
