Deputy Chance wants you to give ALL shelter pets a ‘chance’ to Adopt, Don’t Shop.

In honor of Chance’s fourth ‘gotcha’ day into the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Animal Cruelty Task Force, adoption fees have been reduced to just $25 from March 1 through March 31 with an approved application.

Come meet Deputy Chance.  From 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday, March 10, visitors to Lee County Domestic Animal Services, 5600 Banner Drive, Fort Myers, will have the opportunity to meet him, enter to win prizes and meet great shelter pets.

Many animals end up in shelters in need of homes as a result of neglect. LCSO member and ACTF Ambassador Deputy Chance is an example of how giving shelter pets a new “leash” on life can be rewarding. Deputy Chance is a formerly abused and abandoned dog deputized by Sheriff Carmine Marceno.

The adoption package includes spay or neuter, microchip, up-to-date vaccinations, county license and a 10-day health guarantee. This is a $500 package. Visit 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday at the adoption center, 5600 Banner Drive, Fort Myers. For more information call 239-533-7387 (LEE-PETS) or visit www.LeeLostPets.com.
