Solid Waste
There will be no change to residential garbage, recycling and yard waste collections in unincorporated Lee County, the City of Bonita Springs, and the Village of Estero.
The Resource Recovery Facility on Buckingham Road will be open to accept waste from 6:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday, July 3. The Resource Recovery Facility will be closed on Sunday, July 4, and open 6:30 a.m.to 6 p.m. on Monday, July 5.
All Solid Waste offices and the Household Chemical Waste Collection Facility, 6441 Topaz Court, will be closed Saturday, July 3, and Monday, July 5.
The Household Chemical Waste Collection Facility, which is normally open on the first Saturday of each month, instead will be open 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 10.
The Solid Waste Department encourages residents to recycle the plastic, metal and glass from their Independence Day celebrations.
