Three Oaks Academy Chorus

It was a great weather day for the Rotary Club of Estero’s 9th Annual Light up Estero at the Estero Community Park on December 2, 2023.

Children’s activities included a Marvel Superman Bounce House and being treated to balloon sculptures created by Way Too Tall Torrie.  Holiday music was provided by the Three Oaks Middle School Jazz Band, Three Oaks Academy Chorus and New Horizons Children’s Choir.

Vice-Mayor Joanne Ribble welcomed the crowd and, along with the Rotary Club of Estero’s president Carmelita Singh-Mayer, lit this year’s Christmas tree.

Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived via an Estero Fire Rescue fire truck to cheers from the crowd and then gave all the children an opportunity to have their picture taken with them.

The Rotary will use the $9,200 proceeds from this event to provide scholarships for Estero High School students. In addition, pet food and supplies were collected for the food bank at Interfaith Charities and new, unwrapped toys were collected for the Estero Fire Rescue annual holiday toy drive.  Also, the Estero Forever Foundation contributed $2,000 to the Interfaith Charities.

This event truly lives up to its theme “unity in the community.”
