Village of Estero

Council will start the meeting at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday addressing the proposed millage rate for FY 2024-2025 and approval of the first budget amendment for FY 2024/2025.

The Village’s emergency response plan and contracts for on-call disaster debris monitoring and recovery services will be reviewed as part of the Village’s disaster preparedness program.

Council will then discuss Hurricane Ian recovery and resiliency planning program grant management support to be provided by Haggerty Consulting, Inc.

Construction manager at risk contracts will be reviewed for Estero’s utility extension projects (conversion from septic to sewer) and Corkscrew Road path, landscaping and lighting project.

Other action items include a proposed interlocal agreement with The Brooks Community Development District for sidewalk improvements along Three Oaks Parkway, a contract for hardcourt instillation at the Sports Park campus next to Estero High School, and  replating 4+ acres in Estero Town Commons (also known as the Lowe’s Plaza) for a new Goodwill Store.

There will then be a first reading of Ordinance 2024-08 for the Plaza del Sol located on the northeast corner of Three Oaks Parkway and Corkscrew Road to amend the zoning for a mixed-use development.

Workshop topics include an update on the Munis financial applications and the FY 2025 proposed budget.
