Workshops

Arcos Executive Center

 Arcos Executive Center

The Board conducted a workshop for the Arcos Executive Center located in the Plaza del Sol on the northeast corner of Corkscrew Road and Three Oaks Parkway.

This will be a 3-story, 66,000 square ft. office building with retail space. They plan to retain the heritage trees on Corkscrew Road and as much of the existing mature buffer as possible, along with adding new plantings.  The applicant has included a meandering, elevated boardwalk near the heritage trees on Corkscrew Road and an outdoor patio area with 3 tables which will be a shaded area for pedestrians.  (Presentation)

No decisions are made during workshops.

Shoppes at University Highlands

Shoppes at University HighlandsThe Board also conducted a workshop for the Shoppes at University Highlands west of Ben Hill Griffin Parkway between Everblades Parkway and Miromar Outlet Drive.

The applicant has met with the adjacent community, Grandezza, to make sure they are aware of their plans and the applicant’s changes in architecture, which is more Mediterranean than originally presented.  They will have outdoor umbrellas at two of their buildings along with tall palms along the development.  On the back of their buildings, they have made changes to make them match the front of the buildings, while making each building look individual.  The development includes picnic benches and bike rakes.  (Presentation)
