Pregnancy Resource Center
The applicant is requesting to rezone 5.2 acres from AG-2 to Community Facilities Planned Development at 21560 River Ranch Road, located south of Corkscrew Road and on the west side of River Ranch, adjacent to River of Life Church.
This proposed rezoning request would allow the existing residence to be used as a Pregnancy Resource Center. The applicant is part of a network of non-profit pregnancy clinics and education centers operating in Lee and Collier County for the past 20 years. They provide medically based pregnancy confirmation and education for men and women facing unplanned pregnancy or sexual health crises.
Their objective is to provide a safe environment and build a community around their residents. The girls will be expected to finish school or those who are working will gain life-skill education. The girls come from FGCU and Estero as well as Cape Coral all the way south to Marco Island.
The plan is to expand the residence at the back of the home but the appearance of the residence and existing landscape would be maintained. (Presentation)
Public Comment: 19 residents spoke with close to half of them speaking against the project due to their concerns regarding traffic, safety and flooding issues.
Park Place of Estero
Park Place of Estero is requesting to amend the recently approved Zoning Master Concept Plan to reduce the single-family lots on their property from 16 50-foot lots to 14 60-foot lots for a wider product. No other changes are proposed.
This property is located at 9400 Block Lane, north of Williams Road and west of River Ranch Road.
No voting occurs during public information meetings.
