The Village Council conducted this special workshop in order to interview the 12 applicants for the Planning, Zoning & Design Board.
Four members of the Board have terms that expire on April 30, 2024. In addition, there are two vacancies on the Board.
The Land Development Code provides for a range of 7-9 members on the Board. Staff advertised for Board members, as well as verifying existing members’ interest in serving on the Board. There were a total of 12 applications; 1 applicant had withdrawn: 8 new volunteers and 4 from existing members whose terms expire in April. There are 3 existing members whose terms do not expire until 2026, leaving 4-6 positions to be filled.
Council will select and appoint the Board members in April.
